Legislation to restore public charter schools moving quickly in Senate; what they are and why they’re important

The bipartisan public charter school bill, SB 6194, is progressing rapidly through the state Senate. The Senate Ways and Means Committee yesterday handily passed the measure yesterday. A floor vote is expected soon, possibly even later today. Bill report here.
